VCDS

Vehicle Checkpoint Database System (VCDS) is designed to provide a fully integrated, real time digital system to all checkpoints established by various State Police. By using the custom designed software module on smartphones, police personnel on the field can inspect the vehicle and upload relevant information about the vehicle along with images. VCDS maintains stolen vehicle database and gives immediate alerts in case such vehicle is checked. VCDS allows all checkpoints and Police HQ to be connected in real time, wherein they can share information on vehicle inspection; making the procedure more efficient and robust. Digital entry with due support from time-stamped images of vehicles and documents eliminates the chances of error and misuse and provides an excellent data for investigation and intelligence gathering.
