Basis Bijbel

Basic Bible is a Bible in simple Dutch, written by J.Kleyn. It is intended for anyone who prefers the Bible easier. The choice of words was very suitable for novice Bible readers. And the short sentences and short words it can also be read by people who find reading difficult, for example because of dyslexia. Basic Bible was published in spring 2013 on the Internet. He is now also available as a book.

In writing this Bible was tried to use 'basic Dutch. The aim was to make the Bible for many people to understand. True Bible Words (eg flood tabernacle) are replaced by more common (large flood, tent). Here and there is text added to clarify a sentence. These words are displayed in gray. In notes things are explained and explore its links with other Bible passages.

Basic Bible is a translation from the original languages, but a re-translation 'which the old KJV is used as a starting point. There are also consulted many other translations.
