Find Korea's spiciest restaurants, filtered by the heat level you can handle.
MapBusim is a map of Korean restaurants that specialize in spicy food.
Most restaurant apps let you search by area or cuisine. MapBusim lets you
search by heat. Pick the level you can handle, and the map shows only the
places that match.
■ Five heat levels
Move the heat slider and the map updates instantly.
Numbers alone mean nothing, so every level is anchored to food you may
already know.
Lv.1 Mild — mild instant noodles, everyday kimchi stew
Lv.2 Medium — Shin Ramyun, standard tteokbokki
Lv.3 Hot — Buldak (Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen), original
Lv.4 Very Hot — 2x Spicy Buldak
Lv.5 Extreme — places where you sign a waiver first
Approximate Scoville ranges are shown alongside each level, and the
reference foods change depending on your language, so the scale makes
sense wherever you are from.
Useful in the other direction too. You can filter for Lv.1 and below.
■ What the restaurant claims, and what people actually felt
A restaurant may call a dish "level 3", but there is no shared standard.
MapBusim shows two numbers: the official level from the restaurant, and
the perceived level voted on by people who actually ate there.
When the gap is wide, a warning appears.
■ Pain indicators
Sweat / Tears / Bathroom run / Regretted it next day.
Reviewers report what actually happened, shown as percentages.
"87% regretted it the next day" tells you more than a 4.2 star rating.
■ Eating with someone who cannot handle spice
Start a group session and share the link. Everyone picks their own heat
level, and the map filters to the lowest one in the group.
Restaurants with non-spicy options or adjustable heat are marked.
No account needed to join.
