It offers traceability of the Iberian piece identified with standard seal

It allows to know the traceability of a ham or a palette certified by the IBERIAN QUALITY STANDARD (RD 4/2014).

Each piece is individually identified with a unique and inviolable seal.

The traceability shows information along the chain, from the production of the pig (birth of the pig and its fattening) to the elaboration of the final product that reaches the consumer.

The IBERIAN QUALITY STANDARD requires all Iberian pieces (hams and shoulders) to carry one of the 4 identification seals:

- BLACK for the Jamón and Acorn Palette 100% Iberian

- RED for Iberian Bellota Ham and Shoulder (75% and 50%)

- GREEN for Iberian ham and bait trowel (100%, 75% and 50%)

- WHITE for the Iberian Ham and Paleta de Babo (100%, 75% and 50%)

The system of seals is a commitment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Iberian sector to offer consumers the maximum guarantees of safety, quality and authenticity.
