We use 16 waking hours per day in our projections — a "day reclaimed" is a day you'd actually live consciously, not 24 hours that include sleep. Numbers update from your real saving rate over the last 28 days, not a marketing average.

ABOUT BACKGROUND ACTIVITY

ScrollControl uses an Android foreground service to detect when you open the tracked apps you've selected, so the mindful pause can fire at that exact moment. The service runs continuously in the background — including after your phone restarts — with a persistent notification ("Watching for tracked apps…") that stays visible so you always know it's active. You can stop the service at any time by uninstalling ScrollControl or revoking Usage Access in Android Settings. All monitoring happens on your device. No usage data is transmitted, shared, or sold.
