Anupurvi

Anupurvi, is a meditation technique, conceptualized by Jains, which uses the most effective mantra in Jainism, the Navkar Mantra. Navkar Mantra does not refer to any particular God or saint. It is a prayer done towards the good qualities of the Gods, Teachers and the Saints. The devotee who recites Navkar Mantra does not ask for any favours or benefits from the Gods. This mantra simply serves as a gesture of deep respect towards beings, believed to have spiritually ascended, which also subtly reminds the devotee of his/her own ultimate goal of nirvana or moksha or salvation.

The concept of Anupurvi, is to be focused while reciting it. It sharpens the mind and helps the worshipper in concentrating his mind in his work.
