Celestial path sustenance

Many of today's human beings feel that the sustenance they receive is not in line with their expectations. Various 6 seem to be the cause of the emergence of such thoughts. One of the triggering factors is the wrong understanding of sustenance including the meaning and kinds of sustenance.

By the standards of the materialistic age as it is now, most humans consider sustenance to be limited to material things. A servant who is able to think deeply, certainly has a broader understanding in terms of this sustenance.

The word rizq after being absorbed into the Indonesian language into sustenance is interpreted to be everything that is used to maintain life given by God, it can be in the form of daily food, sustenance, income, profit and so on. The problem of sustenance is a problem that is so close to everyday human life, even the community views this as the most important thing. Humans are required to try to find their sustenance throughout the earth to fulfill their daily needs in a good way.

Sustenance is a gift and gift of Allah SWT to humans to be utilized and used for survival. Hamka explained that the source of sustenance is Allah SWT alone, therefore humans are encouraged to ask for sustenance only to Allah SWT. He also explained how to obtain and use the sustenance mentioned in the Qur'an, humans are given facilities in the form of the earth and its contents to be utilized and processed as a result, such as gardens that can produce fruits, animals that can raise and can be eaten meat.

Allah SWT tells humans to seek and eat their sustenance in a halal and good way. In addition, Allah SWT also recommends spending part of the sustenance obtained in the way of Allah SWT, and warns humans to always be grateful for what has been given to them.

In addition, judging from Hamka's explanation in his tafsir regarding sustenance, he also classifies sustenance into two forms, namely material and non-material. Sustenance in material form such as food, earth, gardens, livestock, and property. While in the form of non-material is all forms of goodness, prophetic treatises and Allah's forgiveness and glorious sustenance (heaven).

It is very improper and even despicable if a Muslim feels humiliated just because he lacks wealth. Especially if he dares to make wrong decisions in his life because of poverty. Because, the most noble sustenance is heaven, not wealth or objects. That is why, the Prophets and Messengers were never proud of the sustenance they received in the form of property and objects they owned. Even the Prophets and Messengers prefer to live hard for the sake of noble sustenance in His sight. However, Islam does not forbid its people to be rich. Because wealth accompanied by faith can also lead a person to a noble degree in His sight.
