Kids Doctor is an online medical consultation service for parents and their children who are unwell. The app allows you to see a doctor from the comfort of your own home via your smartphone (Online Consultation), consult with a nurse via chat (Chat Health Consultation), and learn about home health care strategies (Home Care Book). Use it as a parenting ally.

- You can receive a doctor's consultation at any time, including daytime, nighttime, and weekends.

- You can receive a doctor's consultation anywhere, such as your child's bedroom, your living room at home, or a hotel while traveling. (※1)

- Doctors and nurses who understand children and child-rearing issues will listen to your concerns and provide individualized support.

- Using video calls, we will discuss your situation and observe your child's condition via video.

- Health insurance and child medical expense subsidies are applicable. There are no additional costs beyond the consultation fee. (※2)

- Permission slips can be issued in a format of your choice. If no preference is specified, they will be issued in the Kids Doctor format.

- Prescriptions can be issued if the doctor deems it necessary.

・Your prescription will be faxed to your designated pharmacy (※3). Once your prescription arrives at the pharmacy, you can pick up your medication.

・Available to people aged 5 months to 69 years. Suitable for both children and adults.

*2: If medication is prescribed, medication costs and transportation to the pharmacy will be charged separately.

Online consultations are provided by active doctors working at affiliated medical institutions. They hold a medical license and a medical training certificate, and no initial medical residents are affiliated. Nurses are licensed registered nurses.

Certified by the Japan Surgical Society and the Japan Pediatric Surgery Society. After completing his initial training, he joined Juntendo University's Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Genitourinary Surgery. He has trained at university hospitals and children's hospitals. He has also engaged in research on fetal treatment of diaphragmatic hernia in Canada. His specialty is pediatric surgical diseases. He is a father of two children.

Certified by the Japan Surgical Society and certified by the Japanese Society of Acute Medicine. He graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 2001. He completed his initial training at Nishi-Kobe Medical Center. After working in tertiary emergency care at the Hyogo Prefectural Disaster Medical Center, he began working at a Japanese clinic in Singapore in 2018. He completed his general practice training at the National University of Singapore's General Practice Postgraduate Education Program and currently provides primary care for children and adults.

・Seiji Tanaka

He is a certified pediatric specialist and instructor with the Japan Pediatric Society and a Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare-certified clinical training instructor. He currently works in the pediatric department at Kurume University Hospital in Fukuoka Prefecture, specializing in the fields of nephrology, urology, and immunology. He has been treating bedwetting for 20 years and serves as a council member for a Japanese pediatric nephrology and urology society.

□Nurse/Operations Manager

・Mayaka Mori

Working at a pediatric emergency center, where she experienced the value of life, she learned about triage, the importance of pediatric emergency care, and family nursing. She completed BLS and ICLS. Afterward, she gained a strong sense of the preciousness of life in the palliative care ward and provided thorough, compassionate care. Currently, as Kids Doctor Operations Manager, she supports and communicates with staff to ensure safe and quality medical care.

■ About Receiving Medication

If a doctor determines a prescription is necessary during an online consultation, a prescription will be issued. The prescription will be faxed to the pharmacy you specify in the app, so you can pick up your medication at a time that's convenient for you, such as between childcare responsibilities or when you get home from work.

You can register frequently used pharmacies as favorites, making medication arrangements smoother the next time you visit.

■ About Fees

(Online Consultation)

- Health insurance and child medical expenses subsidies apply. There are no service fees other than the consultation fee.

- Residents of certain areas are required to apply for a child medical expenses subsidy refund.

- Payment is by credit card only (bank transfers and barcode payments are not accepted).

*Please check the app for areas where the Child Medical Expense Subsidy refund application is not required.

*Additional costs such as medication and transportation to the pharmacy are required.

- Chat health consultations are free.

- There is a limit of three chats per three months (one session will be re-allocated one month after the first session).

■How to Use Online Consultations

(1) Make an appointment via the app

Please fill out the medical questionnaire and wait for a call from the operator.

While waiting, please keep your smartphone within easy reach of notifications and remain calm.

(2) Consultation

When it's your turn, you will receive a notification in the app. Consult via video call.

(3) If a prescription is issued, pick up your medication at the pharmacy.

If the doctor determines a prescription is necessary during your consultation, a prescription will be issued. Select a convenient pharmacy on the app and collect your medication.

(1) Make an appointment via the app

Please fill out the medical questionnaire and wait for a call from the operator. While you wait, please keep your smartphone within reach so you can receive notifications and remain calm.

A nurse will contact you via chat based on your medical history, so please feel free to contact us.
