MARI is an app designed to help you address automatic thoughts that can be challenging to manage. This app focuses on helping you shift thinking patterns that may contribute to feelings of stress or negativity.

Rationale:

Some people have thinking habits that make them more likely to feel like a burden or that they don't belong. These habits can lead to feelings of hopelessness and a sense that problems are unsolvable, even when they are not. Such automatic thoughts are difficult to catch and change on purpose. This app has exercises to guide you to consider alternative interpretations of challenging situations, helping you to practice and adopt new thinking patterns.

Although every situation presented in the sessions may not directly apply to you, try to imagine that it does. By regularly practicing new ways of thinking, you might be able to change your response to certain thoughts, and make new thinking habits more automatic. Just like strengthening muscles, it takes regular practice.
